Daughter, Do You Love Me?

I wrote this with Daddy, Do You Love Me? in 2009 after attending a Father-Daughter Banquet.

Daughter, Do You Love Me?

Daughter, do you love me?

If you do, let me show you the Creator;

I will place you in the hands of my Lord and Savior.

Daughter, do you love me?

If you do, accept my protection;

I will protect you from the world’s deceptions.

Daughter, do you love me?

If you do, give me your heart;

I will guard it that you might be set apart.

Daughter, do you love me?

If you do, trust my direction;

I will guide and lead you by my affection.

Daughter, do you love me?

If you do, be my Princess;

I will show you a way through a world of distress.

Daughter, do you love me?

I ask you one more time;

I can only be sure when your innocent love is mine.
